Our Promise
O’Donnell Impact Windows & Storm Protection is a family owned and operated business located right here on the Treasure Coast.
In today’s business world, ethics, integrity, and a focus on the betterment of employees can be lacking. Many business owners can easily lose sight of the families and community to whom they are providing service. The company goal here at O’Donnell is to not only bring safety and protection to our customers from storms, but also cultivate an environment of growth, success, and support from employees. We get involved in as many community events as we can and encourage our employees to do the same.

What are Hurricane Shutters?
These products are specifically designed and manufactured to protect windows and doors against flying debris and tremendous wind speeds. While mostly popular in coastal regions, other areas with high winds and extreme weather are also adopting the impact resistant products.
Should I Get Shutters for All Windows?
Protection only works if all openings are covered and your home remains intact. If even one window or door is compromised during a hurricane, the entire home could be lost because of the extreme pressure. The roof could blow off and the walls collapse. You don’t want that.
When Should I Clean and Test my Shutters?
Before a hurricane hits. Honestly, with regular maintenance and cleaning you will be able to keep your hurricane shutter in top operating condition. At least every six months you should check all the panels for any signs of damage. Ensure all hardware works. Remove any debris or corrosive materials. Close and secure. All of this will help prepare you for an emergency and you get the peace of mind from knowing they will function as they should in the event of a tropical storm. Click here for detailed instructions.
Do I Need Hurricane Shutters?
The current Florida Building Codes demand that every home built after 2001 must either have hurricane shutters or storm windows. So yes, you do need some form of protection—whether you choose hurricane impact resistant windows or hurricane shutters is completely up to you.
What are the Benefits of Hurricane Shutters?
Aside from the foremost function of protecting your home, some hurricane shutters also improve security, dampen unwanted outside noise, and improve energy efficiency.
Do Shutters affect my Insurance?
Most companies do offer some sort of discount for certain types of protection, but percentages and discounts will vary with each company. The best thing to do is call and talk to an agent.
